Creating Organizations

Adding an Organization

An Organization is the highest level of hierarchy in the organizational structure. There is no limit on the number of Organizations that can be added. When adding an Organization, it will be a Draft until it is published.

  1. Click on Company Settings in the navigation bar
  2. Click on the Organizations tab
  3. Click the Add an organization button
  4. Name the Organization by clicking on the name and editing the text

Defining the Levels of an Organization

Levels are the next in the hierarchy of an organizational structure and are limited to four Levels per Organization. The default is three levels Region>State>Office.

  1. Click the + Add Level button to add additional levels (four max)
  2. Click the trash can icon next to a Level to delete it
  3. Name the Levels by clicking on the name and editing the text

Building Out an Organization

Nodes are used to define each unique value for Levels. There is no limit to the number of Nodes per Level.

  1. Click the + Add "Level 1 Name" button to add additional level 1 Nodes
  2. Click the + icons to the right of a Node to add an additional node on the level below it
  3. Click the trash can icon next to a Node to delete it
  4. Name the Nodes by clicking on the name and editing the text

Publishing an Organization

When you are finished building out the Organization, it will need to be published.

  1. Click the Publish button in the top right to publish the Organization

Using Organizations

Assigning Projects to an Organization

A project can be assigned to an Organization in three locations. Projects can be assigned to more than one Organization/Level/Node. Assigning projects to an Organization is not a required field.

  1. When creating a project
  2. On the Project Settings page
  3. On the Project Stats page in Company Settings

Filtering Projects List by an Organization

  1. Navigate to either the Projects page, the Item Library page, or the Forecasting Explore page
  2. Turn on filters using the toggle in the header
  3. Select a filter under the Organization filter
