#### **Improvements**

- **Milestone Report Builder Updates** 
    - **Enhanced PDF Experience** 
          - Now offering **Page Size Selection** (Letter, Tabloid, A3, and Custom) and the option to **Include/Exclude Project Images** in the print header.
          - New PDF with updated header/footer, text-weight variation, and row lines.
    - **Updated Presets** to match most common use cases, **Milestone Details and Items Focus.**
    - **Clear loading state** while the report is generating.
    - **Gap** column has been added as an available column in the Project Totals grouping.
    - **Expand All/Collapse All** button has been added to the top left of the report.
- **Updated [Gordian's RSMeans Construction Cost Indices](https://success.join.build/en/knowledge/escalating-historical-costs?hsLang=en)**  
  RSMeans Construction Cost Indices have been updated to Q3 2026.
- **Public API v2**

    - Simpler setup and authentication, and an explorer feature.

- **Milestone Report Builder Updates** 
    - **Clear grouping states.** Grouping by assignee, categorization, or description now produces explicit **Unassigned**, **Uncategorized**, and **No Description** groups, sorted to the bottom in A–Z order.
    - **A warning before you navigate away** from an unsaved report.
    - Proper handling of **Pending, Pending Min,** and **Pending Max** columns.
- **Updated [Gordian's RSMeans Construction Cost Indices](https://success.join.build/en/knowledge/escalating-historical-costs?hsLang=en)**  
  RSMeans Construction Cost Indices have been updated to Q2 2026.

    - **Clearer Cost Labeling.** The "Line Type" column header in the Milestone Report Builder now reads "Costs" rather than "Direct Costs".

- **Milestone Report Builder Updates** 
    - **Sharing tooltip:** A new notice flags when sharing a report may expose more detailed cost data than a collaborator's permissions would normally allow.
    - **Sub-columns open automatically** when a group-by is added to the view.
    - **Status icons** added to the Items Status column.
- **Updated grid styling** across the Milestone Report Builder, project categorizations, and company settings — refreshed grid lines, column headers, and configuration.
- **Improved font rendering** across the product, making bolded copy in tooltips easier to read, particularly on Windows.
- **Improved performance** on the **Employees** page in Company Settings.

#### Benchmarking Updates

- **Benchmarking for Owners.** Owners can now access benchmarking reports and project information, respecting the cost-mode restrictions applied by the general contractor on each project.
- **Updated [Gordian's RSMeans Construction Cost Indices](https://success.join.build/en/knowledge/escalating-historical-costs?hsLang=en)**  
  RSMeans Construction Cost Indices have been updated to Q1 2026.

#### Reporting Updates

- **Milestone Report Builder updates:** 
    - **Clean styling and usability updates:** pin the group column; row groups and filters moved into the side panel, so you no longer need a column present to filter on it; new filters on Item Type and Assignee; columns autosize on load; font weights updated by group level; decimals hidden when rounding to $1 or more.
    - **Toggle summation of the Quantity column** on or off — useful when quantities on a project use mixed unit types.
    - **Text wrapping in the Milestone Report Builder** for longer titles, in both the in-app report and PDF prints.

#### Items List Updates

- **Cleaner Activity Selector** in the Item List and Item Detail, now with search — a significant improvement on projects with many activities.
- **Bulk edit the Related Activities field** directly from the Item List.

#### **Improvements**

- **Project Cost Summary** now appears only on the first page of the Milestone Summary Report PDF export.
- **Faster and cleaner Activity dropdown** in the Item List on large Timelines: Milestones moved to the top, and the list now loads only Activities that have Items associated with them.

- **Sort By is now organized** into "Item Fields" and "Categorizations" sections in the Item List.
- **Milestone Summary Report** PDF exports now include the notes column across all print options and no longer clip the final column.

- **Enterprise Admin role** — a company-level permission set that allows administrators to manage employees and projects across subsidiary companies in addition to their own. *Available on request.*

#### Improvements

- **Updated [Gordian's RSMeans Construction Cost Indices](https://success.join.build/en/knowledge/escalating-historical-costs?hsLang=en)**  
  RSMeans Construction Cost Indices have been updated to Q4 2025.
- **No more horizontal scroll on the Projects tab.** The project list now sizes to your screen width.
- **Clearer import errors.** Importing a categorization file with errors now returns specific, actionable in-app messaging instead of a generic error.
- **Terminology update:** "Events" is now "Activities" throughout Items, matching Timeline and the rest of the product.
