Creating a Lump Sum Budget

The easiest way to create a budget in Join is a single line item lump sum number, which can be entered in seconds. This will create a budget line on the Cost Trendline, but it will not show detail on the Estimate graph.

To create a lump sum budget, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Milestones in the navigation panel
  2. Click the name of the Milestone
  3. Click the Budget tab
  4. Click the Create a new blank Estimate button to generate a blank Budget
  5. Enter a 1 in the Quantity column and the lump sum amount in the Unit Price column
  6. Click the Publish button to publish the Budget
