How to delete an Item and what happens to the information when an Item is deleted.

Deleting an Item

To delete an Item, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Items tab in the top navigation bar
  2. Click the name of the Item that needs to be deleted to open the detailed Item view
  3. Click the options button just right of the Item number
  4. Select Delete item
  5. Click Delete to confirm

What happens to Item information when it's deleted?

When an Item is deleted, the information is removed from the project. The Cost Trendline information related to the Item is removed, as is any estimate information, comment history, categorization, or description.

Warning: Once an Item has been deleted, it and any of the data associated with it cannot be recovered.

Tip: If you want to remove the Item from the visible history but not delete all the information, you can change the status to Not Applicable.
