Export Sage estimate information
Now you can easily transfer your detailed cost information from Sage into Join! Export your latest project estimate, import those files into Join, and publish the new estimate to the rest of your team when it's ready. Here is a step-by-step on how to export your Sage Estimating file.
Step one: export a Sage XML file
Step 1: In Sage, select File > Manage Estimates
Step 3: This window will open:
Step 3: Click the Export Estimate tab to open this window:
Step 4: Click the Browse button and choose a file name and location to save your estimate. NOTE: if you’re accessing Sage on a virtual machine, you’ll need to move the file to a location where you can easily move a copy to your local computer. Reach out to your IT department or Join if you need any help with this!
Step 5: Enter a filename and click Save, then OK.
Step 6: Click OK when your export is complete.
A few helpful hints:
- Once you’ve downloaded your estimate, use the original .zip folder (don’t unzip or extract any files)
- If you downloaded the file to a local folder on your computer, then you’re ready to import your estimate in Join.
- If you downloaded the file to your virtual machine, then move a copy to your local computer. Reach out to your IT department or Join if you need any help with this!
